David Lecours, Principal
David Lecours is on a mission to help A/E/C firms attract great talent and clients. As Principal of LecoursDesign, a digital marketing & branding agency, David guides firms to develop a culture of expertise.
David attended the University of Southern California intending to enroll in architecture school. After an internship in an architecture firm, David found marketing more enticing. He began his career in International Marketing at Paramount Pictures. David worked as a Sales Representative for Reebok and then got promoted to Regional Marketing. David returned to school at UCLA to study, and eventually teach graphic design. After working at Bright Strategic Design and The Mednick Group, David launched LecoursDesign in 1995.
LecoursDesign is narrowly focused on serving the Architecture / Engineering / Construction (A/E/C) industry. David achieved his Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) designation in 2004. David has served on the Boards of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and U.S. Green Building Council, San Diego Chapters. Mr. Lecours was named “Marketer of the Year” by SMPS San Diego. LecoursDesign was honored in 2018 for three national awards at the SMPS Marketing Communications Awards (MCAs): best rebrand, best website, best recruiting/retention promotion.
David is married and also loves pickleball, succulents, and surfing in his hometown of Encinitas (San Diego), California.
Chuck Casella, Art Director
Born in New Jersey, Chuck moved to California and quickly adopted the West Coast lifestyle. His love for art and design can be traced back from his childhood. So can his passion for sideways sports. Once his career as a pro snowboarder flamed out, he went back to school and received his BFA with honors in Graphic Design from CSU Fullerton.
Out of school he was hired as a designer/product photographer for the high-end jeweler Charriol International. He went to Arrowhead General Insurance Agency as lead designer and then served as Art Director for Fullsteam Marketing. Then, Chuck was hired as a web designer for the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Holly Schmitt, Office Manager
Holly earned a BS degree with honors in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She served as a Residential Interior Designer in Hollywood. She spent 3 years with celebrity designer Kevin Haley working on projects for Meg Ryan, Cameron Diaz, and Brad Pitt, then ventured out on her own designing residences throughout Los Angeles. To complement her design skills, Holly trained as a Reiki Master and became a Certified Life Coach. She also has professional organizing skills, which come in handy at LecoursDesign.
