David Lecours, Creative Director
David’s passion for marketing spans 22 years. Armed with a BA in International Relations from USC, his first job was in International Marketing at Paramount Pictures. David worked as a Sales Representative for Reebok and then got promoted into Regional Marketing. David switched gears by enrolling in art school at UCLA to study graphic design. After working for Bright Strategic Design and Think New Ideas, David launched his own firm, LecoursDesign in 1995.
LecoursDesign helps professional service firms to tell their story to win new business. Sometimes it’s a short story like a logo or an ad. Often, it is a longer story like a marketing plan, web site, brochure or digital video. Whatever story you tell, the goal is to attract great clients and talent.
David views LecoursDesign as a laboratory to discover what works in branding and presentations. He then generously shares this knowledge through coaching, speaking and training seminars. David is married and also loves surfing and practicing yoga in his hometown of Encinitas, California.
Chuck Casella, Art Director
Born in New Jersey, Chuck moved to California and quickly adopted the West Coast lifestyle. His love for art and design can be traced back from his childhood. So can his passion for sideways sports. Once his career as a pro snowboarder flamed out, he went back to school and received his BFA with honors in Graphic Design from CSU Fullerton.
Out of school he was hired as a designer/product photographer for the high-end jeweler Charriol International. He went to Arrowhead General Insurance Agency as lead designer and then served as Art Director for Fullsteam Marketing. Then, Chuck was hired as a web designer for the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Holly Schmitt, Office Manager
Holly earned a BS degree with honors in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She served as a Residential Interior Designer in Hollywood. She spent 3 years with celebrity designer Kevin Haley working on projects for Meg Ryan, Cameron Diaz, and Brad Pitt, then ventured out on her own designing residences throughout Los Angeles. To complement her design skills, Holly trained as a Reiki Master and became a Certified Life Coach. She also has professional organizing skills, which come in handy at LecoursDesign.
